ekgWe have an EKG machine that is integrated with our electronic medical record.

We can do pre-surgery EKGs, as well as do one during an office visit for any worrisome symptoms.

EKG is an electrical analysis of forces generated by the heart as it beats.  We can see if the heart rhythm is regular or not; and if irregular, if the extra beats are worrisome or common and not serious.  We can immediately see changes that might indicate heart damage or a heart attack, and can also see changes caused by high blood pressure.
